Yes, I know… it’s been a week… I’m late… but here I am, ready to talk about my second experience, as a Veeam Legend, at the Veeam 100 Summit held in Berlin from 28 to 31 October.
In this article I’m going to focus on the importance of the community, some news and a few tidbits. So don’t waste your time and read the whole article. Meanwhile, you can also find my old article from the last edition here. |
So what is the Veeam 100 Summit and who attends?
It’s an event that brings together 100 (hence the name) engineers from around the world who are part of the three expert programs: Legend, Vanguard and MVP. Want to know who they are? Well, you can find them all in the Veeam 100 Directory.
Being on this list is more than just a professional achievement – it fills me with pride.
Also there were the event staff, the product management team and the product strategy team.
What’s the Veeam 100 Summit all about?
It’s a one-of-a-kind event where Veeam share content and get previews of the latest products, as well as view some interesting content during the technical sessions.
During the day, as well as the technical sessions and discussions, there are networking opportunities with other engineers from all over the world. During the breaks, people discuss their experiences and exchange all kinds of information, including friendly conversations over buffets.
It’s a fantastic way to feel part of a community like the one Veeam has created – it’s truly unique.
What was discussed at the Veeam 100 Summit?
During these days, there were several technical sessions that were real master classes. We started the first day with a workshop on the Veeam Recovery Orchestrator product. It was really interesting to see the technical depth and the workshop that showed the possibilities.
On Tuesday, after breakfast, we got off to a flying start with a welcome to all attendees and sessions from sponsors Wasabi and Object First.
Immediately afterwards, and then in the afternoon, all the news about the Veeam product with RED content that cannot yet be revealed.
